Without a doubt, accommodation in Turkey is affordable even during the peak season. However, choosing the best hotel can really make a difference when it comes to enjoying your vacation.
Need to know
Generally speaking, the most important factor that determines the price per room is the season. Because most cities and resorts have low seasons and high seasons, it’s quite easy to figure out when to visit in order to save some money, particularly if you are heading to the crowded resorts.
On the coasts, the peak season starts is in July and August, although the summer season starts in May and ends in October. The shoulder months are May, June and September. Prices aren’t at their highest and the water is not always warm enough to swim in (particularly in May).
There are a lot of types of hotels in Turkey, from the 2 star smallish hotels to the 5 star all inclusive resorts and pretty much anything in between. One thing is sure though: you have to book in advance if you want to spend your summer vacation here. Because of the low prices, Turkey attracts a lot of tourists and the available rooms disappear quickly.
